The Artist

Born and raised in Clinton, Iowa, I have been surrounded by graphic design my entire life. My father was pinstriping cars for a living when he and my mother met. From there they branched out to pre-made vehicle graphic kits, and eventually began designing their own.

Both my sister and myself learned tasks around the business as they grew. I would sit on my mother's lap as a small child and watch her create simple designs in CASmate and CorelDRAW. I began experimenting with the programs as I grew up, and eventually began helping with cut lettering. As the industry evolved, so did the programs used and the products offered. When my parents decided to dive into doing vehicle wraps, I began to learn more about Photoshop and Illustrator.

In this experimentation with Photoshop, my love for photography and photomanipulation was sparked. In high school I enrolled in any art class I could. After the spark for photography was ignited, I enrolled in the course offered and began learning the fundamentals.

I have not stopped learning since.

I currently reside in Delmar, Iowa with my fiance, Michael, our son, Matthew, our cat, Bridget, and our five ferrets - Jasper, Loki, Eris, Harry, and Luna. We are big supporters of live music and enjoy playing darts.
